Training Review - Weeks 7 & 8

No need to use minor life events as an excuse for being slightly under my numbers this fortnight. After 5-years of successfully dodging Covid it has finally caught up with me, and to be honest I am not a fan. I haven't had much in the way of respiratory effects, and what I did have was mitigated by my asthma medication. I did have some fairly intense gastro-intestinal effects, and the trademark loss of appetite, taste and smell. Despite having a week with no training and an average step count under 5,000/day I have dropped more than 5kg.

Obviously lots of red below, but given that I did 3 decent races in the 8 days before succumbing to illness, and I think I will be clear of the effects before racing Glasgow Uni Aquathlon next weekend, it could have been much worse.

I have also completed the in-person days for my coaching course. Now I just need to finish up the paperwork for that.
