Training Review - Weeks 11 & 12
Having been made redundant from my job, I now have all the time in the world to train. Except this week I had a doggo to look after, while Lorna was away at a conference, and he takes a ridiculous amount of supervision.
Also, I had a race in Edinburgh this weekend that included Scottish Champs, British Champs, Euro qualifiers, ... and is the only draft-legal race that I can access, so I didn't want to just go nuts with training this week and ruin that. I expect to ramp up from next week until I can find a new job (or accept one of the pair of poor job offers that I already have).
I raced almost a mirror image of last year losing a few seconds on each run and about 20 on the bike, despite having to ride almost solo for the entire ride. Considering how badly I have been performing in the year in between I am actually really pleased with that.
