Training Reviews - Weeks 9 & 10

Coming out of Covid I definitely took some time to get back to volume and a bunch of minor life events have again nibbled away at sessions to bring me under my target numbers.

I did race my first Aquathlon of the year and it went well enough. I didn't swim great. I swam okay on time, but my form was not great. On the plus side of that, Lorna managed to get some good video of my current swim stroke and I have some things that I can work on. I then followed that up with a solid run.

And then the following weekend I backed that up with a decent Parkrun. Again, not great, but solid and with clear things to work on.

I am also about to have a chunk of extra training time as I have been made redundant from my current job. Not a huge surprise given the recent contract losses at my employer have left them with very little work in my specialist field.

I have already paid for all my summer international entries, and have money laid aside for travel for those as well. So I should be fine for still going to them, but I will need to find a new job, and that comes with location, holiday and income considerations.
